Complete Christian Character

It’s often said that a cemetery is a place filled with many unfinished goals and dreams, a place of great potential, a place of vast wealth, yet unrealized. I submit to you; there’s another place where many people are gathered who too have great potential, yet unrealized, the local CHURCH!

It’s difficult to fully appreciate or benefit from a portrait that is unfinished, a movie without an ending, a house that is half-built, a cake that is undone, a song that is unsung, and a life that is not fully lived unto Christ!

Yes, our salvation is secure and complete in Christ, but no one will see the Master or the masterpiece you are through Him if you fail to do your part. Therefore,

“give all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give the diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall”- 2 Peter 1:5-10
