Seek CHRIST in the Crisis

on
March 16, 2020

As I watch our city, state, country and world scramble to deal with COVID-19, I’m amazed at how many people are fearful, in a state of panic, chaos, and terror.  I thought to myself, why?  Why are so many people freaking out as if there’s no tomorrow?  Then I soon realized, they are too tied to today, too tied to this world.  They must have forgotten that old axiom, nothing is promised except death and taxes.  In fact, the Word of God declares, “And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment” – Hebrews 9:27.  So whether it’s COVID-19, an auto accident, gun violence, or old age, everyone will die from something.  Therefore, let’s not panic about tomorrow but let’s ensure our tomorrow today Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” – John 11:25-26
