“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge” – Hosea 4:6 (KJV).  Although this was stated a few thousand years ago, it is still the case today; some people refuse to acknowledge truth.  No matter what’s revealed there will always be those who refuse to accept the truth.  Even doing the days of Jesus Christ the leaders at that time rejected the ultimate truth, Him.

“One day the Pharisees and Sadducees came to test Jesus, demanding that he show them a miraculous sign from heaven to prove his authority.  He replied, “You know the saying, ‘Red sky at night means fair weather tomorrow; red sky in the morning means foul weather all day.’ You know how to interpret the weather signs in the sky, but you don’t know how to interpret the signs of the times!  Only an evil, adulterous generation would demand a miraculous sign” – Matthew 16:1-4a (NLT).  It’s not that Jesus could not perform miraculous signs, to the contrary He had already performed many and thus one more would not have convinced those who in their heart would never accept truth, but would continue to willfully and boldly deny it.

Such as it is today, clear, and obvious truth is rejected regardless of how much comes forward, and falsehood is whole-heartedly embraced by those who should know better.   Someday there will be a reckoning for the rejection of truth and the embrace of lies.  Until then, “let the one who is doing harm continue to do harm; let the one who is vile continue to be vile; let the one who is righteous continue to live righteously; let the one who is holy continue to be holy” – Revelation 22:11 (NLT).
