WHO DONE IT?
I guess the more appropriate question should be, “who hasn’t done it?” Who hasn’t lied? Who hasn’t lied to avoid the scolding of a parent when they were a child or to avoid the negative consequences of a bad decision as an adult? Who hasn’t stolen? Who hasn’t taken bubble gum without purchase or permission as a child, and what about that stolen time from work when taking personal calls or longer then allotted breaks? Who hasn’t had an improper thought? Who hasn’t been entangled with anger or disappointment as a child and wished an unkind thought, or found themselves as an adult on the fantasy island of romance?
So, if you raise your hand to all or one of the above, then you are guilty of the “who done it.” A guilty verdict is punishable by death, eternal death. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” – Romans 6:23 (NLT). Although we’re all guilty, there is one who is innocent. He posed this question to his contemporaries during that time, “Which of you can truthfully accuse me of one single sin? No one” – John 8:46a (TLB)! Here’s the good news, Jesus wants to resolve your “who done it” issue. Receive Him today as your Savior and Lord.
