Emotions Matter

Although God’s will is for us to walk in “self-control,” HE also recognizes the duality of our person, an old sinful nature that desires to please the flesh and our new nature that strives for righteousness in Christ Jesus.  As God is sanctifying our soul, He is sanctifying our emotions too.  Thus, He makes Himself available to transform our hearts and character, so we can manage our emotions in ways that exalt Him.

HIS WORD provides a manual on emotional self-management, and HIS HOLY SPIRIT comforts, encourages, convicts, and conforms us to the image of Christ so that we can manage our emotions rather than allowing our emotions to manage us.  God also invites you to “give all your worries and cares to Him, for he cares about you.”   Brothers and sisters, let’s put to death the emotional sins, those lustful feelings of ungodly passion, and even that unhealthy anger that the devil would use to destroy our testimony; let us allow God’s grace to turn any emotion into a characteristic that glorifies HIM.
