Called to be great,
Yet in doubt and despair,
Trapped in prison,
Does Jesus even care?
A forerunner for Jesus,
A life of sacrifice,
Made many converts,
Even baptized Christ,
Heralded His name,
When he had clear vision,
Called Him the Savior,
Before he was imprisoned,
Suffering is a tool,
That exposes our humanity,
No one is exempted,
From the stressors of calamity,
You have heard it said, “It’s not about how you fall but how you get up.” The meaning of these words may never be more clearly seen then in the life of Judas and Peter.
Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me…”…
The true “measure of a man”:
isn’t found in the accumulation of assets (the fortune),
isn’t found in the accolades of achievements (the fame),
isn’t found in the applause of admirers (the fans),
isn’t found in the assortment of automobiles (the finest collections),
isn’t found in the abundance of accessories (the furs, furnishings, frills),
In a world that tries to deny the existence, knowledge and presence of God, the phrase “God help those that help themselves” is a very popular phrase in our culture. For the non believer or the religious person without relationship, although this notion is deceptive it can “sound” true.

I denied myself nothing my eyes desired;
I refused my heart no pleasure.
My heart took delight in all my labor,
and this was the reward for all my toil.
Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done,
and what I had toiled to achieve,
everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;
So any person who knows what is right to do but does not do it, to him it is sin (James 4:17, AMP Bible).
It’s Christmas once again,
No time to be mad,
Reconcile your differences,
Be pleasant to mom and dad,
It’s time to celebrate,
So grab your comrade,
Put on your best attire,
There are parties to be had,
It’s time to be joyful,
No time to be sad,
Remember Christ our Lord,
He’s the reason why we’re glad,
Don’t get twisted,
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Luke 18:1 KJV).
